"It was indeed after intense discussions that the jury arrived at the verdict," RongRong told this website. He said that Chen's work embodies his unique perception of the world he lives in, and the use of AI and metaphor makes his work more complete and increases its depth of thought.

According to Dong, a veteran art critic and curator specially invited to participate in both the primary and final selection of this year's award, there is no such thing as objective reality in art. "An artist's understanding of reality is essentially a reflection of their own cultural background and mental projection, both of which are a kind of artistic reality."
