Editor's note Cars race ahead at high speeds, snipers fire from hundred of meters away, hijackings, and explosions all sound like a Hollywood movie plot. But the action-packed drama is all part of a special police training drill. The officers and soldiers endured hard training across the country in wilderness survival, explosive removal, rock climbing, sniper training, and anti-hijacking measures, to help manage security emergency and ensure people's safety. The People's Liberation Army (PLA), founded on August 1, 1927, marked the 85th anniversary of the founding. Following are snapshots of special forces in training.
