As one of the Plum Blossom series, Between Water and Clouds is about a romance between a poor painter and a girl from a rich family. The lovebirds are finally reunited after overcoming countless obstacles.
Chen Hong, one of the most well-known actresses from the Chinese mainland, played a supporting role as Wang Zixuan in the 1993 TV adaption of the novel.
