According to China Outbound Tourism Research Institute, Chinese visitors have begun to shift their attention from traditionally-popular Western European destinations, such as France and Germany, to Central and Eastern European countries. The move has been the result of the safety concerns following an array of terror attacks across Western Europe.
In 2015, for example, about 285,000 Chinese tourists visited the Czech Republic compared with 180,000 in 2013. The information was revealed by the official travel site of Czech.
