Wreckage of missing Myanmar military aircraft found: military sources

YANGON - The wreckage of the missing Myanmar military aircraft has been found on sea off Dawei township in southern Tanintharyi region late on Wednesday, according to military sources.
The military circle said the tragedy might be due to bad weather condition but it is yet to be determined only after the black box is found.
With 104 passengers on board, the aircraft of the Myanmar air force suddenly lost contact with the ground and went missing Wednesday afternoon on its flight from southern Tanintharyi region's Myeik to Yangon.
The 104 passengers include 90 army family members and 14 crew members.
With a load of 2.4 tons of goods, the military aircraft, carrying some welfare goods and military family members in its transport mission, took off from Myeik air base at 01:06 pm local time for Yangon, but when the aircraft reached a height of 18,000 feet (5,400 meters) at about 01:35 pm local time, it lost contact with the ground at a location, 32 km west of Dawei and went missing.
The aircraft was on a round trip transport mission in accordance with the route Yangon-Myeik-Pokkpyin-Myeik-Yangon.
Two aircrafts of the air force and four vessels of the navy have begun search and rescue operation.
