A pilot program for cross-jurisdiction case filing has been introduced, involving all the courts in Beijing and a total of five courts in Tianjin and Hebei province.
The cross-jurisdiction case registration service is an Internet Plus innovation that means if people want to file a case under the jurisdiction of these courts, they can choose the nearest court among those taking part in the pilot program, instead of going to the specific court that has the right of jurisdiction.
After litigants or their agents file a case in one of these courts and submit the files and evidence through the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region case registration platform, the court to which it has been submitted will review the materials and file eligible cases with the court of jurisdiction.
The new service will provide greater convenience to the parties filing lawsuits and improve the efficiency of case registration.
In addition, the service will promote a unified standard of case registration in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei province, which is of great significance to judicial practice in these areas.
