6.1-magnitude quake hits South of Fiji Islands: USGS

NEW YORK - An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale jolted south of the Fiji Islands at 22:26:02 GMT on Saturday, the US Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 518.19 km, was initially determined to be at 24.1049 degrees south latitude and 179.59 degrees east longitude.
