RIYADH - US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson met on Wednesday in Jeddah the Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and discussed the Qatar crisis, Al Arabiya local news reported.
The visit of the US official is part of a tour to Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia to find a solution to the current regional rifts.
He also met the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt and Bahrain, the four countries boycotting Qatar, in Jeddah to discuss the escalating issues.
They also discussed means for the elimination of terrorism and its financers.
The four countries stressed adherence to their collective stand and measures taken against Qatar in light of claims about its violation of international laws and norms.
The boycott is the four countries' first measure against what they believed of Qatar's support for terrorism and extremism and its interference in the Arab states' internal affairs and threatening their peace and security both nationally and internationally.
