7.8-magnitude quake hits Russia's far east region: CENC

BEIJING - A 7.8-magnitude earthquake jolted the Komandorskie Islands region in Russia's Far East at 7:34 am Tuesday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter was monitored at 54.36 degrees north latitude and 168.95 degrees east longitude. The quake struck at a depth of 10 km, the center said in a statement.
