Pomegranate-themed relics greet the autumn

The Palace Museum in Beijing has shared a range of photos of its collection of pomegranate-themed relics on micro blog Sina Weibo in celebration of the start of autumn. Autumn is the season for pomegranates which can already be seen on trees in the Forbidden City. Pomegranates symbolize good harvest and many children due to its good yield and many seeds. The pomegranate was commonly used to decorate objects in ancient times, which can be seen in the relics below:
