Love Me More

That Funky Drummer sample is the gift that keeps haunting us. UK band Chase & Status' Love Me More might be the hundred-thousandth song to sample James Brown's classic ode to his percussionist, but it's a great track nonetheless thanks to the energetic work of British songwriter Emeli Sande, who literally climbs to the sky with her vocal track. The strings follow her to the stratosphere, and it's impossible to keep from getting sucked in. This is a track built on a formula, but no formula exists to account for Sande, and her performance may be the kind of vocal that you scream along to, tears in the eyes, heart ready to burst.

Story of a woman

Written by US journalist Rebecca Skloot, the award-winning book The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks is a gripping combination of biography, science and history.

The book tells the true story of Henrietta Lacks, a poor black mother in Baltimore, whose cancerous cells - taken without her knowledge - enabled some of the most significant advances in 20th-century medicine, but with devastating, and later liberating, effects on her family. The book has been widely considered as one of the best science writings in this era. "Like any good scientific research, this beautifully crafted and painstakingly researched book raises nearly as many questions as it answers...," says the Science magazine.

"In a time when it's fashionable to demonize scientists, Skloot generously does not pin any sins to the lapels of the researchers. She just lets them be human ... (and) challenges much of what we believe of ethics, tissue ownership, and humanity."

F1 2017

Developed and published by Codemasters, F1 2017 marks the return of the classic cars in the series. Players will be able to race classic F1 cars such as the 1988 McLaren's MP4/4 and Ferrari F2002 (driven by German racing driver Michael Schumacher). A total of 12 classic cars will be available and players can use them in the Career mode. Besides the Career mode, which includes all the official race tracks and teams of the year, the game will have a new Championship mode. F1 2017 was released on Aug 25.
