Zhao Ruichun, 82, was among the first students of the lithograph department at Beijing's Central Academy of Fine Arts in the early 1950s. After graduation, he taught at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts for a couple of years, cultivating a new generation of artists based in Guangdong province.
Besides teaching, Zhao has been a versatile lithography artist in his own right. His works were exhibited widely at home and abroad.
The ongoing exhibition Vibrant Sincerity shows dozens of his sketches, lithographs, watercolors and caricatures produced during a career spanning six decades.
The exhibition is being held at the CAFA art museum and runs until Nov 29.
