A total of 57 pieces of art from the Belarus National Gallery are being displayed in Beijing, the National Art Museum of China (NAMOC) announced Wednesday.
The exhibition, which displays works from the 19th and 20th century, coincides with the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Belarus.
The art ranges from portraits and landscapes to still lifes painted by artists including Ivan Kramskoi, Ilya Repin and Ivan Shishkin, according to NAMOC.
"This exhibition will provide Chinese audiences the opportunity to appreciate classical works from Belarus and enhance mutual understanding between the two peoples," said Wu Weishan, director of NAMOC.
The exhibition will last until Dec 17, 2017.
