More than 1.1 million examinees sat the national civil servant exam on Sunday.
The national civil servant examination, which is held once a year, is the compulsory examination to recruit civil servants for the central government departments and agencies.
More than 120 central government departments and public bodies that are managed in accordance with government departments will recruit about 28,000 people through the exam, a historical high.
More than 80 percent of the applicants for the national civil servant examination are at the county level and below. And in general, applicants at the provincial level and above should have at least two years' working experience at the grass-roots level.
The results of the examination will be released in mid-to-late January 2018, and the interviews will be launched in March next year. It is stipulated that the admission score of posts in the western regions, remote and impoverished regions and at the grass-roots level will be lower than the national lowest required score.
