Geling Yan

In 2017, Geling Yan's novel Fang Hua was adapted into a big-screen work, Youth. Born in Shanghai in 1958, many of Yan's works have been adapted into films and TV shows, including the 2011 film The Flower of War.

Known for witty and humorous language, her novels portray many impressive characters in the Chinese contemporary literature world.
