Over 120 snuff bottles, dating back to the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) are on show at Xi'an Museum, Northwest China's Shaanxi province.

Small enough to fit in the palm, snuff bottles were used to contain powdered tobacco, once considered a remedy for common ailments such as headaches.

Made with fine materials like jade, crystal, agate, coral and porcelain, these delicate handiworks come from the collection of Wuhan Museum in Central China's Hubei province.
