China FAW Q1 exports hit 3-year high

CHANGCHUN - Chinese automaker FAW Group recorded 8,236 wholesale vehicle deliveries to overseas markets in Q1, higher than that of the same period in the past two years.
During the first three months, the company exported 2,308 commercial vehicles and 5,928 passenger vehicles.
The Besturn B30 cars assembled in Iran were the highest-rated Chinese cars in the local market. The company also received orders from Russia and Rwanda for more than 50 cars.
FAW has been actively marketing in Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam, making preparations for its presence in these markets.
The State-owned FAW Group was founded in 1953 in China's northeast Jilin province. It was ranked the 125th on the 2017 Fortune Global 500.
Since the first Jiefang truck was rolled off the production line in 1956, the brand has sold more than 6.6 million vehicles and has expanded its presence to 80 countries and regions.
