Singaporean foreign minister to visit DPRK

SINGAPORE - Singaporean Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan will pay an official visit to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said here Wednesday.

Balakrishnan will visit the DPRK at the invitation of his counterpart Ri Yong-ho on Thursday and Friday. During his stay, he will also call on President of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly Kim Yong-nam.

Singapore will host the summit between US President Donald Trump and DPRK top leader Kim Jong-un on June 12.
