Xi's state visit to Russia
On May, 2015, President Xi Jinping met his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Moscow, where Putin extended his warm welcome to Xi for attending the celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Great Patriotic War and visiting Russia upon invitation.
China and Russia reached a consensus upon linking the Belt and Road Initiative with the Eurasian Economic Union.
The two heads of state agreed on strengthening cooperation within the frameworks of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), BRICS members as well as the G20.
Following the talks, both sides also exchanged views on situation on Korean Peninsula, the Iranian nuclear issue and other international and regional issues of common interest, agreeing to keep close communication and coordination on relevant issues.
