Xi's state visit to Russia
President Xi Jinping arrived in Moscow at noon of March 22, 2013, for a state visit, the first leg of his first trip abroad after he was elected president of China on March 14, 2013.
Xi and Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed that the timing and conditions were ripe for the two countries to carry out large-scale economic cooperation, pledging to make full use of various cooperation mechanisms and invigorate collaboration on large joint projects of strategic significance.
The two presidents witnessed the signing of more than 20 documents and deals in various areas, including trade, energy and culture.
