China would like to increase imports of competitive, high-quality products from Bolivia and strengthen production capacity cooperation to help promote the South American country's industrialization, Premier Li Keqiang told visiting Bolivian President Juan Evo Morales Ayma on Tuesday.
Morales is on a state visit to China that started on Monday.
Premier Li said China-Bolivian relations have made enormous progress in recent years. China would like to consolidate political trust and deepen pragmatic cooperation with the South American country under the principles of equality and mutual benefits, he said.
President Xi Jinping and Morales held productive talks on Tuesday morning.
China is also ready to promote cooperation in trade, tourism and people-to-people exchanges, the premier said. China-Bolivian cooperation is a part of South-South cooperation and China is ready to work with Latin American countries, including Bolivia, to safeguard interests of developing countries and promote global peace, stability and development, Li added.
Morales said the two countries' strategic partnership has brought bilateral ties to a new level.
During his visit, the two countries signed a number of cooperative agreements in fields such as investment and trade, which he thought will strongly boost bilateral relations. Bolivia, as the rotating presidency of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States for next year, would like to promote cooperation between the bloc and China, he said.
