"During each class, students learn how to cook two dishes, and when the course concludes on June 26, each of them will have earned two academic credits and hopefully be able to cook 16 dishes. These include famous Sichuan dishes like Chen's mapo tofu and double-cooked pork," said Yu Yangzhou, who oversees the training classes.

He said another reason the college decided to offer the course was that it found most students could not cook for themselves, meaning they were heavily reliant on ordering food deliveries each day.
