"Many of them have more than 20 years of professional cooking experience," Yu said.

Jiang Xinxing, a senior in the university's music school, said most students today have no siblings and were spoiled by their parents who did not expect them to contribute to household tasks like cooking. So the skills learned in the class are useful, she said.
