Eight people died on Thursday when an oil tanker burst into flames after being rear-ended by a truck in East China's Anhui province, local authorities said.
The accident, which injured four others, happened around 2 am in Yingshang county.
Traffic surveillance footage shows the oil tanker catching fire after being hit by the truck, with the flames quickly spreading to a nearby residential building.
Six of those killed were from a family staying in the building.
A witness surnamed Cao who was working at a hotel near the scene said the accident happened at an intersection with traffic light.
