A set of quintuplets fulfilled their dad's lifelong dream and graduated from the same university on the same weekend.

Enna, Maria, Emilio, George and John Diaz, all 21, donned their caps and gowns to accept diplomas after four years of study at the University of North Texas as their proud parents watched.

The quintuplets, who were born within three minutes of each other in July 1996, went to the same primary school, the same middle school and the same high school, and now have graduated from the same university at the same time with degrees in biology, finance, Spanish, social communication and art last month.

It's difficult for a family to support five children. The quintuplets worked part-time in restaurants, took out student loans and made use of the university's financial aid program to put themselves through school.

Their father Jorge, originally from Guadalajara, Mexico, said watching his children graduate was his proudest moment.
