Li calls on Czech to respect core interests, major concerns

China appreciates Czech's adherence to the one-China policy and would like to work with the EU country in understanding and respecting each other's core interests and major concerns, which will provide a political foundation for the development of bilateral relations and pragmatic cooperation, Premier Li Keqiang said on Saturday.
Li made the comment when meeting with Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis after their participation in the seventh Leaders' Meeting of China and Central and Eastern European Countries in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Li said China would like to expand two-way opening-up and investment. Both countries can strengthen cooperation in finance, aviation, automobiles, agriculture and other fields. Czech has rich tourism resources and China is glad to see more Chinese tourists going to Czech and welcomes more Czech tourists, Li said.
Babis said the Czech government is committed to developing relations with China and firmly adheres to the one-China policy. Czech is ready to strengthen high-level exchanges and increase trade and investment with China, he said.
Czech would like to participate in the first China International Import Expo, he said.
