5 killed, 1 injured in S.Korea's military helicopter crash

SEOUL - Five soldiers were killed and one injured in a military helicopter crash on Tuesday in South Korea's southeastern city of Pohang, multiple local media reported citing the military authorities.
The chopper crashed at the landing strip of a military unit in Pohang, South Gyeongsang province, at about 4:45 pm local time (0745 GMT).
Among the six soldiers aboard the ill-fated MUH1 chopper, five were killed and one was wounded.
The helicopter reportedly fell down from about 10 meters high in the air while making a test-flight after maintenance.
The chopper was burned to ashes. While extinguishing the fire, one firefighter was also injured.
The Marine Corps command was quoted as saying it would form a committee to investigate the exact cause of the incident.
