Australian violinist Patrick Roberts will make his debut in Beijing next month, by giving a recital at the capital's Minzu Theater on August 18.

The concert will feature repertoires such as Toccata and Fugue in D Minor by Johann Sebastian Bach and Spanish composer Joaquín Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez guitar concerto. He will also play his own compositions, including All in Love is Fair and Pink.

Born in Melbourne, Australia, the 39-year-old violinist started learning to play the violin at the age of 5 and gave his first public performance when he was 11 years old.

The classically trained violinist has turned many beloved classics into contemporary masterpieces. The concert will also feature his own scores for films and musicals.
