Employees on Beijing-Tianjin intercity get new uniform

Staff members on the Beijing-Tianjin intercity rail received new uniforms with gray as the main color early this month.
The rail is China’s earliest high-speed rail line, and celebrated its birthday earlier this month.
In the past 10 years, the uniforms of rail employees have changed eight times.
Their colors have ranged from dark blue (August 2008), crimson (December 2008), red (January 2009), black (January 2010), light blue (July 2010), Chinese-style costumes with festive colors (Spring Festival 2011), red (January 2011) to rose red (2012-July 2018).
Meanwhile, the speed of Fuxing bullet trains running on the Beijing-Tianjin intercity rail will increase to 350 kilometers per hour starting Aug 8.
The daily frequency of Beijing-Tianjin one-way intercity trains has risen from 94 to 217, with 250 million passengers transported in the past decade, according to the Beijing Railway Bureau.
To date, its daily passengers have risen from 49,000 from 2008 to 82,000 this year.
