No casualties reported after 4.4-magnitude quake hits Tibet

LHASA -- No casualties have been reported after a magnitude 4.4 earthquake hit southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region Sunday afternoon.
The epicenter, with a depth of 8 km, was monitored in Shuanghu county, Nagqu prefecture, at 4:18 pm, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
With an average elevation of 5,000 meters, the county is located in the hinterland of Tibet and has a large area of glaciers and lakes.
