LONDON -- A number of people have been taken to hospital with stab wounds after a massive street brawl in Britain's Luton, said local police on Sunday.
The Bedfordshire police were called to Saxon road in Luton after receiving reports of a large number of individuals fighting.
Witnesses said they saw several people were bleeding and some ambulances came to treat them.
Cops and the local council held a meeting in May to discuss the "shocking rise of violence" in the area, following a number of murders.
A Home Office report claimed that one of the reasons behind the increasing knife crime is that expanding London drugs gangs were engaging in turf wars with local drug dealers.
