US electric car maker Tesla has officially opened its newly set-up charging station in Hong Kong, which is the largest of its kind in Asia, according to South China Morning Post report on Monday.

The two-floor car park, located at the FTLife Tower in Kowloon Bay, Hong Kong and with a total area of 4,564 square meters, is installed with 50 Tesla wall connectors, making it possible to charge at up to seven kilowatts per hour.

There are 122 parking places in the charging station. The parking fee for all cars is HK$28 per hour, with no fees for charging.

According to the newspaper report, Tesla said that they are "proud to have Hong Kong as the site for one of the world's biggest destination charging stations, as part of our long-term commitment to Hong Kong owners."

At the same time, FT Life Tower's management said it was proud to be part of Tesla's sustainability mission, saying that they are excited to be part of the network and warmly welcome Tesla owners to their facility.
