All-China Federation of Trade Unions elects new senior officials

Wang Dongming, vice-chairman of Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, was reelected chairman of All-China Federation of Trade Unions, on Thursday.
Cai Zhenhua, 57, former deputy director of General Administration of Sport of China, was elected one of ACFTU's 15 vice-chairmen, at the organization's 17th national congress.
Wang, 62, worked in North China's Liaoning province for 25 years and, after 2000, served as deputy head of Organization Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Party chief of southwest China's Sichuan province.
Cai was appointed as deputy head of GASC in 2007 and began taking charge of the country's soccer development in 2010. Cai became the president of Chinese Football Association in 2013 until joining the ACFTU this year.
Founded on May 1, 1925, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions is now the world's largest labor union.
Gao Fenglin, senior technician of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corp, who welded engines of Long March 5 Series Launch Vehicle and other aerospace equipment, was also elected one of the vice-chairmen.
