Service outsourcing industry to open registration for competition

Jiang Zhiyi, a first-prize winner, said the competition offered a platform for college students to share their know-how with each other, and also give the candidates a precious opportunity to gain hands-off experience through case study and teamwork. Jiang graduated from Xi'an Technological University. 

The annual competition aims to boost the development of service industry and cultivate more talents for the sector.

Over the last nine years, the competition attracted nearly 300,000 candidates from 1,200 universities and colleges. Companies including Huawei Technologies and Alibaba Group Holding Ltd have participated and conducted reviews.

In the first six months, the value of newly signed contracts in service outsourcing industry reached $82.3 billion, an increase of 17.06 percent compared with the same period last year, according to the commerce ministry.
