6.2 magnitude quake hits 88 km NE of Iquique, Chile: USGS

NEW YORK - An earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale jolted 88 km NE of Iquique, Chile, at 22:19:51 GMT on Thursday, the US Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 97.84 km, was initially determined to be at 19.6578 degrees south latitude and 69.5395 degrees west longitude.
