Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan to visit China

BEIJING - Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan is expected to begin a four-day visit to China on Friday at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Keqiang.
Khan was born in 1952. He graduated from Oxford University with a bachelor's degree in 1975.
A former cricket star, Khan began to serve as the captain of Pakistan's national team in 1982 and led the team to win the Cricket World Cup in 1992.
Khan started his political career by establishing the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party, or the Movement for Justice, in 1996. In the 2002 and 2013 elections, Khan was twice elected as a member of the National Assembly.
Khan became Pakistan's new prime minister in August 2018. This is his first visit to China after taking office.
