The online trading usually reaches its peak period when the Singles Day arrives and complaints also usually come to their peak period, and consumers councils should get well prepared in advance, said Guangdong Consumers Council in a statement on Thursday.

"And therefore consumers council at every level in province should introduce concrete and effective measures to help handle the large number of complaints involving online fraud, poor quality, unfair trade and related problems that netizens face while shopping online," said the statement.
