US plans rapid, full troop withdrawal from Syria: media

WASHINGTON, Dec. 19 -- The United States is planning a rapid and full withdrawal of troops from Syria, according to US media reports on Wednesday citing Trump administration officials.

Currently more than 2,000 US soldiers are deployed in Syria.

US President Donald Trump has long urged the military to end the campaign, which he criticized as too costly.
