British pound plunges as Brexit deal rejected

LONDON - The British pound plummeted against the US dollar and the euro on Tuesday following Prime Minister Theresa May's Brexit deal was overwhelmingly rejected by the UK Parliament.

Sterling fell over 1.30 percent against the US dollar to hit $1.2698 and over 0.50 percent against the euro to hit 1.1165 euros.
