The situation is not expected to be optimistic over the next few years, and Huawei should be prepared for tough days, company CEO Ren Zhengfei said.

On Friday, Huawei released two speeches on Oct 26 and Nov 16 via internal emails, wallstreetcn.com reported.

In the emails, Ren made a plan for Huawei's human resources' strategic focus, putting more efforts to make all formalistic, unvalued management disappear.

Over the next three to five years, Huawei will strengthen internal reform and ensure integration of reform and business, Ren said.

"We should make correct estimates of the economic situation, control the lifeline and curb blindness in action."

The human resource system should never forget its original intentions, and try to undergo reform and team change, Ren said, adding Huawei should avoid excessive layoffs.

Last week, the 74-year-old Huawei's founder gave two rare interviews for foreign and domestic media in the southern city of Shenzhen.

Ren said the difficulties the tech giant faces today will not have a big effect on its business in the long term, predicting revenue will double within five years.

Founded in 1987, Huawei, the world's biggest producer of telecommunication equipment, posted $108.5 billion in revenue in 2018 and Ren said the figure is likely to hit $125 billion this year.
