A father who was disabled at work and abandoned by his wife brings his daughter on his takeout routes.
Li Bangyong seemed to be on the receiving end of misfortune.
The 39-year-old from rural Yunnan province lost his mother when he was a teen. He experienced a serious occupational injury in 2012. And his wife abandoned him and their daughter three years ago.
But Li didn't give up.
He has managed to support himself and his girl by delivering takeout over the past two years.
Li migrated to Zhejiang province's Jiaxing to find a job but lost it after a machine crushed his right hand.
He started delivering food with his tot last year. He installed a safety chair on his e-bike. His 2-year-old wears a havelock to protect against sunlight and a quilt to seal out the cold. He works this way from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm, with only a 40-minute lunch break. He feeds his girl bread when she cries and slows down when she falls asleep. Li typically carries her when he takes the food to customers' doors, although he often has to climb many flights of stairs.
He faces hardship but finds comfort in his toddler's company.
And many people have contributed support to Li after the media reported his story.
