Chinese negotiators rejected some media reports that China made compromises in the last stage of negotiation for a joint declaration for the 21st China-EU leaders' meeting, a source told China Daily.

"The reports are not true," said the source.

The two sides have walked in the same direction and reached a win-win result finally in the spirit of mutual respect and equality, diplomats who participated in the negotiation said. During the negotiation, the EU gave up on some too demanding conditions, and such a declaration was a victory for both sides, they said.
