Japanese foreign minister to visit China

Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono will pay an official three-day visit to China starting Saturday, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lu Kang said Friday.

During the visit Chinese State councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi will co-chair the fifth China-Japan High-level Economic Dialogue in Beijing with Kono, which will be attended by economic officials, among others, from both countries, Lu said.

They will also attend the China-Japan Youth Exchange Promotion Year opening ceremony, he said.
