US economy adds 263,000 jobs in April, unemployment rate falls to 3.6 pct

WASHINGTON -- US employers added a better-than-expected 263,000 jobs in April, and the unemployment rate dropped to 3.6 percent, the lowest level since December 1969, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday.
