A series of activities was held in Yinchuan, capital of Northwest China's Ningxia Hui autonomous region, on Tuesday marking the 15th anniversary of friendly exchange relations between Ningxia and South Korea's Gyeongbuk.
Representatives of over 50 foreign trade enterprises – who brought their latest product samples – from Ningxia and Gyeongbuk held trade talks in sectors such as cosmetics, food and daily-use articles.
Agreements were reached through the trade talks, including an agreement on academic exchange signed by Ningxia Medical University and Daegu Haany University.
Representatives also watched performances and visited chateaus, Ningxia Museum and the Yinchuan city planning exhibition hall.
Ningxia and Gyeongbuk signed an agreement on establishing friendly exchange relations in 2004.
Backed by the agreement, the two sides have cooperated in a wide range of fields such as education, the economy and agriculture.
The two established an international friendly city relationship between Yinchuan and Gyeongsan-si of Gyeongbuk in 2008.
Since 2002, 36 activities involving youth communication have been held between Ningxia and Gyeongbuk, involving over 600 young people.
