Should eating and drinking on the subway be banned?

Editor's note: Passengers caught eating or drinking on the Beijing subway are likely to have violations recorded on their social credit log as of last Wednesday, according to the Beijing Municipal Commission of Transport. Forum readers share their opinions.

I think it is overdue, but better late than never. Too many irresponsible commuters eating and drinking with impunity! A fine is not enough, social credit must be affected too, and both together make a good deterrent! This should be implemented throughout China, not just limited to Beijing!
