China newly-added social financing hit 1.4t yuan

BEIJING - Newly-added social financing, a measurement of funds that individuals and non-financial firms get from the financial system, stood at 1.4 trillion yuan ($203 billion) in May, up 446.6 billion yuan from one year earlier, data from China's central bank showed Tuesday.

At the end of last month, China's total outstanding social financing rose 10.6 percent year-on-year to 211.06 trillion yuan.
