HEFEI - A non-stop flight linking eastern China's Anhui province and Moscow will open on June 20, Anhui Civil Aviation Airport Group said Friday.

The flight will be operated by Russian IrAero with a Boeing 777. The outbound flight is scheduled to depart Xinqiao International Airport from the capital city of Hefei at 2 pm on Thursday.

The journey is about 7.5 hours, and the flight will be operated between June 20 and October 26. Russia will have its tourist season from May to October when visitors can experience its cool weather and beautiful scenery.

Russian Ural Airlines opened the Hefei-Novosibirsk-Moscow flight in December 2018, with its passenger load factor remaining at 95 percent and above.

The opening of the non-stop flight is expected to further strengthen the aviation access between Anhui and Belt and Road countries and promote trade and tourism between Anhui and Russia.
