Gao Shouhong, former vice general manager of Kweichow Moutai Group, has been expelled from the Communist Party of China and removed from public office for serious violations of Party discipline and laws, China's top anti-graft watchdog said Thursday afternoon.
The CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection said in an online statement that Gao had been disloyal and dishonest to the Party by lying for a long period of time and had refused to be investigated by Party organizations.
The statement said Gao violated Party discipline, didn't truthfully report his personal matters, violated the frugality codes and illegally engaged in profit-making activities.
The former executive of China's top sorghum-based liquor was also found using his position to gain benefits for others and had received huge sums of bribes either in cash or other properties.
Gao also had an appetite for vulgar interests, and didn't correct his wrongful actions since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China in 2012. Being an executive at a State-owned enterprise and Party official, Gao created a serious negative impact and should be severely dealt with, the statement said.
As a result, Gao has been expelled from the Party and removed from public office. His illicit gains, along with evidence of his suspected crimes, have been submitted to relevant bodies.
Gao is the second high-ranking executive expelled from Moutai since Yuan Renguo, former chairman of the group, was ousted from the Party and public office for graft in late May.
