"By translating The Mencius, I achieved my goal to completely translate the Four Books of Confucianism. Today, I am very much satisfied with myself," said Menerel Chimedtseye, a prestigious sinologist and professor at the NUM.

The Four Books comprises the Doctrine of the Mean, the Great Learning, the Mencius, and the Analects. They are considered the original teaching of Confucius.

Chimedtseye added that to understand the Chinese culture, these books should always be read.

Li Wei, cultural counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Mongolia, expressed her thanks to the Mongolian scholars for their contribution to the development of cultural cooperation between the two countries.

She described the translations of the books as a wonderful gift for the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
